The Best Lawyers directory recognizes 49 Andersen Tax & Legal in Spain professionals among the best lawyers in the country with a total of 80 distinctions in the 2020 edition, which doubles the number of distinctions for the firm with respect to the 2019 edition.

The data presented in the publication is the result of the assessments of professional colleagues who vote for candidates they consider deserving of this international recognition, according to the quality of legal services provided and their professional skills.

The outstanding lawyers from the offices in Madrid, Valencia and Seville in this edition are present in more than 30 practices analyzed by Best Lawyers. Among them, the directory recognizes Tax Partner Maria Olleros as Lawyer of the Year for Venture Capital.

The Fiscal area includes 12 nominated professionals: José Manuel Pumar, Patricia Motilla, Yago Martos, Álvaro Silva, Francisco Guijaro, Miguel Gordillo and Jaime Escribano.

In Corporate and M&A, the board recognized Andersen Tax & Legal in Spain’s Ignacio Aparicio. In addition, the following individuals were recognized in the Corporate and M&A sector for the first time: Partner José Ignacio Olleros; Directors Jaime Aguilar and Pedro Albarracín; and Senior Associate Ignacio Ariño.

In Employment Law practice, the board recognized Partner Pablo Santos and José Antonio Sanfulgencio.

In the area of Insolvency and Restructuring, Best Lawyers includes Partners Álvaro Gámez, Benjamín Prieto, Guillermo Yuste, Íñigo Rodríguez-Sastre and Javier Mata. Luis Cortezo and Rodríguez-Sastre stand out in Arbitration and Mediation, and in Procedural Law, the publication recognized Benjamín Prieto, Luis Morón as well as Directors Carlos Soto and Vanesa Fernández. In Criminal Law, the board acknowledged Partner José María Rebollo as well as Director Iñaki Planas.

Public Law Partners Carlos Mínguez and José Vicente Morote were recognized by Best Lawyers in the Environmental Law and Administrative Law practices. Morote also stands out in Urban Law, together with Antonio Ñudi and Carlos Peña, and in Entertainment Law and Public Financial Law, Silvia del Saz was recognized.

Other lawyers recognized in this directory for the first time are Maite Hernández in Real Estate Law, Ramón Faus in Private Equity, and Isabel Martínez Moriel in Information Technology Law, José Ignacio Olleros and Iñaki Planas in Civil Law, Rocío Gil in Corporate Governance and Compliance, as well as Luis Morón and Vanesa Fernández in Litigation.
